4th annual big lebowski party, friday february 16th

We are pleased to offer, once again, the Big Lebowski party. Now in its fourth year, The Big Lebowski Party is a celebration of all things lazy and slacker-like. Partygoers are encouraged to dress like their favorite character in the film, drink white Russians, bowl in our mini bowling alley and watch the 1998 Coen Brothers’ film projected on the wall. The party starts at 9p and lasts till they kick us out. Free admission with any sf indiefest ticket stub or just $5. 21up.

closing night awards and party, sunday february 18th

The IndieFest Audience Awards are our chance to talk back to the movie industry! If we all scream loud enough maybe we can get them to stop making those overblown Hollywood disasters and invest in some of these guys.

Awards will be given out at the Closing Night Party on Sunday, February 18 at 12 Galaxies. In addition to the awards, the party features live performances by The Struts, The Chop Tops and The Copper Tones, Church of Elvis DJs Bishop and Moonshine. The show starts at 9p. Tickets are $5 or free with any IndieFest ticket stub. $2 Red Hook, 21 up. Please join us as we draw the curtain on another Festival!

This year, thanks to our sponsors iMeem and GUBA, we have actual cash prizes for the winning filmmakers in the Best Feature and Best Trailer categories—and two randomly drawn voters will win prizes as well. Stay tuned for more information and links so you can vote online.

We invite you to cast your vote for the iMeem Best Feature Award, the GUBA Best Trailer Award as well as the Best Short (sponsored by Film Arts Foundation) and Best Animation Awards. Based on your choices, we present awards to the winning filmmakers at the Closing Night Party.

Additionally, the folks behind the scenes will be doling out IndieFest Staff Prizes to the films we think prove to be the most kick ass productions in the program.
