Synopsis Roxie Cinema 2/10/2007 9:30PMPlease put on your party hats for this rare theatrical presentation of Infra-Man. We will unveil an original 35mm IB Technicolor film print (in excellent condition), so you witness it as it was originally intended - in stunning Thunderball Fist-O-Scope! Hong Kong's legendary Shaw Brothers produced this mind-blowing cinematic spectacle, and we're going rip off Roger Ebert in a futile attempt to describe the wonders that await: “Within the first four minutes of Infra-Man, (a) a giant flying lizard attacks a school bus, (b) the Earth cracks open, (c) Hong Kong is destroyed by flames, (d) mountains disintegrate to reveal the forms of reptilian monsters with blinking yellow eyes, (e) the Professor announces that a 20-million-year-old woman is unleashing the hibernating monsters upon civilization, (f) the Science Headquarters is shaken by a second quake, (g) the Mutants awake, and (h) the Professor, obviously shaken, informs a secret meeting of world leaders, ‘This situation is so bad that it is the worst that ever has been!’ I'm a pushover for monster movies anyway, but Infra-Man has it all…When they stop making movies like Infra-Man, a little light will go out of the world. (Edited from Mr. Ebert's 32-year-old review.) Special IndieFest RoadShow bonus: our good friends at Cosmic Hex will raffle outrageously cool stuff before the screening so hang on to your ticket stubs.
