Andrew Goth
2004, UK, 94 minutes
US premiere

The first feature from (the aptly named) Andrew Goth, is a stylish police thriller creature feature starring Kevin Howarth (best known to IndieFest audiences as the cannibal serial killer in The Last Horror Movie).

Detective Mort Shade is killed in the line of duty, but when John Dark, his partner, returns to retrieve the body he finds Shade mysteriously alive (and a willing host to something very nasty). In the weeks that follow, the notorious and untouchable criminals they are tracking turn up dead in a series of brutal attacks that seem to be the work of a monstrous vigilante. Dark suspects his partner is somehow responsible for the horrific executions, and a classic morality tale plays out. Should he stop his partner, or let the body count mount?

We’re looking forward to Goth’s next film, The Wretched a western with Chow Yun Fat hunting zombies.
