LISTEN WITH PAIN covers the 20-year history of the German avante garde band, with CAN and KRAFTWERK, one of most important musical groups from Germany. The film covers their origin, wall-time Berlin and the accompanying punk movement, performances in the USA and Japan, and recent interviews with the members. Comments from Stevo (their ex-boss at the Some Bizarre label), and current collaborator Nick Cave round out this portrait of EINSTUERZENDE NEUBAUTEN’s place in the international music scene.
