Closing Night Gala

For our Closing Night Gala we are extremely pleased to present Dead and Breakfast, the latest film from San Francisco native (and IndieFest alumnus) Matthew Leutwyler. We can't think of a more fitting way to end seven days of unrelenting terror than with this over-the-top, gore-drenched horror comedy from a local independent filmmaker. Direct from its World Premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, this movie is so fresh that the wounds are still dripping.

Six friends are on their way to a wedding in Galveston when their RV breaks down. They are forced to stop for the night at a quaint bed and breakfast in the sleepy town of Lovelock. However, the mysterious deaths of the inn's owner and his chef make the unfortunate travelers the prime suspects in the double homicide.

Before the local law enforcement can mete out Texas justice, supernatural forces manifest themselves and the (already bizarre) local residents are possessed by evil spirits. The stranded wedding party are trapped in the B&B by hordes of maniacal zombiefied townsfolk. Armed with a rusty chainsaw, a can of gasoline, and half a box of shotgun shells the brutal battle for survival begins in earnest. Much mayhem ensues - and a great night at the movies is guaranteed for all.

Starring Ever Carradine, Erik Palladino, Oz Perkins, David Carradine, Jeremy Sisto, Diedrich Bader and Portia de Rossi.
