Sister Wife

Directed by Timna Goldstein
and Hadar Kleinman
60min, Israel

SISTER WIFE is the story of an African American community in Southern Israel known as the Hebrew Israelites where, following a law in the Torah, a man can marry up to seven women. The film follows the story of Zipora, a religious and loving woman who, after 21 years of marriage, wakes up one morning to a new reality. Her husband is about to take a second wife who is 14 years younger than she. The film follows Zipora's inner journey and the manner in which she deals with polygamy.

An unexpected, intense and heart-warming coming out story that spans three generations and questions popular notions of what it means to be "Southern."

Chain Camera

Directed by Kirby Dick
90min

A riveting, self-portrait of contemporary teenage life, CHAIN CAMERA brings a raw, intimate, and provocative look at the thoughts, fears and experiences of generation next. Ten students at John Marshall High School in Los Angeles were given video cameras to document their lives. There were no limitations placed on what they could shoot. After one week, the cameras were given to ten new students and so on with ten more. These cameras witnessed students' lives both in and out of school for an entire year, capturing a riveting variety of contemporary urban high school experiences. "
